Canada CAN+ Visa

CAN+ Canada Visa

For all the applicants who hold a valid US visa in India, they can apply for a CAN+ visa. The process for the CAN+ visa remains the same as a Temporary Resident Visa.

The only difference is documentation and processing time is less as compared to the Temporary Resident Visa. The documents for a CAN+ are as follows:

Apart from all the above-listed documents consulate may ask for any other additional documents and it also may vary case to case. The processing time for CAN+ Canada Visa is around 10 -12 days whereas, for Temporary Resident Visa is 15 -18 days.

It is advisable to apply for the visa at least 30 days before the intended date of travel as the processing time may increase during vacation times. The validity of the visa can be anything from 6 months to 10 years. The stay period is a maximum of 6 months on each visit.

Visa fees remain the same for CAN+ Canada Visa & Temporary Resident Visa. CAD 100 is consulate fees and CAD 85 is the biometrics fee.

VAC charges around INR 500 per application. VAC also offers courier services if you do not wish to visit the center again for collecting the passport, then you can opt for this service by paying the extra charges for courier above VAC service charge.

VAC charges are to be paid in cash at the counter whereas, Consulate Charges & Biometrics Fees can either be paid online using credit or debit card or can be paid directly at the VAC center when you go for the submission of the documents.

Canada Business Visa

Indians who intend to visit Canada for a business purposes need to apply for Business Visa which comes under a Temporary Resident Visa also known as a visitor visa but you will be considered as a business visitor.

While applying Business you need to meet certain criteria which include having a letter of invitation from a business partner from Canada and 24 hours contact of the inviting person.

You need to prove you have a job in your home country, won’t stay longer than 6 months, will not enter the labor market, and proving your main business is outside Canada and have the documents to prove it.

Canada Student Visa

Students planning to study in Canada needs to apply for a student permit but this study permit is not a visa you need to apply for a visitor visa to enter Canada. If your study permit is approved then a visitor visa will also be issued.

You can enroll at a designated learning institution, prove you have sufficient funds, obey the laws in Canada, have no criminal records, good health, and leave Canada on completion of the course are some of the criteria to be fulfilled.

If your course is less than 6 months of the course is not a part of the longer program and completes the course within 6 months you don’t need to apply for a study permit.

But it is advisable to have a study permit as if it mentioned on the permit then you can study further or want to work on-campus or off-campus then you are allowed to do so.
