  • Finance proof covering the expenses of your stay and study

Eligibility for applying for Australia Student Visa.

 

  • Holding a Passport with a validity of 6 months on arrival in Australia.
  • Holding the evidence of enrollment in the study with the student visa application by providing a Confirmation of Enrollment (CoE) for each course you intend to study.
  • You need to have adequate Health Insurance.
  • You need to meet the English Language Requirements by passing the test.
  • You need to have enough finances to pay for your stay in Australia.
  • You need to pass the character test and remain of good character.
  • You need to prove that you are a genuine student and will return to your home country after completing the course.

 

Procedure for applying for Australia Student Visa.

 

  • Australia student Visa is an online process, and you need to scan all the documents in the JPEG or PDF format as advised on the website. All these documents will be uploaded with the application as a part of the student Visa process.
  • You need to apply at least 6 weeks prior to the course starts.
  • Once you start the Australia student Visa application on the Australian Immigration Website for a study Visa for Australia from India you need to select the Subclass -500 Visa category which is a part of a student Visa.
  • The application form will have your details, CoE, family details, finance details, course details, health details, the sponsoring person’s details, and employment details if applicable.
  • You need to hold Overseas Student Health Cover before applying for the Visa.

You can apply at least 06 weeks before your study course starts in Australia.
Do I need to issue travel insurance while applying for a student visa?
Yes, you need to have Overseas Student Health Cover which covers your stay in Australia.
Do I need to have confirmed Air Tickets and Hotel Bookings for Australia while applying for the student visa?
No, Air Tickets are not mandatory while applying for the student visa.
If my Australia Transit visa gets rejected can I reapply?
Yes, you can apply again However, you are required to submit the documents which are stated as insufficient on the rejection letter. Also, take the support of the travel agent to avoid further rejection.
Are the Australian Consulate charges refunded in case of rejection of the student visa?
No, Consulate charges are nonrefundable in case of rejection in the student visa.
Do I need to take any medical tests before transiting from Australia?
Yes, Medical tests are mandatory in certain cases and you will be intimated by the Immigration Department through mail on submission of the application or while filling up the online form you may get a red flag describing the requirement of medical tests.
Is it mandatory to include family members in the application while I am applying for a student visa?
Yes, it is mandatory to mention family members’ details if your family members need to join you as a student on a later date. If you do not declare a family member and they need to join later then you need to apply for a new student visa including them.

How to check the online status of the Australia Student Visa application?

 

  • Once you complete the entire online process including payment you can check the Australia student Visa status after around 10-15 days by logging into the profile.
  • Immigration Department will mail the Visa copy on the registered Mail ID. The Australia student Visa will be an E-Visa and you need to check Name, Passport Number, Period of Stay, Expiry date of the Visa, and how long you can stay.

 

 

When you have Australian student Visa

 

  • You can participate in an eligible course of study.
  • You can travel in and out of Australia Multiple times.
  • Time spent outside Australia will not extend your Visa.
  • working hours for students in Australia is 40 hours every 2 weeks once the course starts.
  • You can bring a family member as a subsequent application if you include family members in your Visa form.
  • Your family members can also work but not more than 40 hours every 2 weeks.
  • Documents uploaded must not be scanned properly without keeping all the edges of the document intact.
  • Documents Uploaded must not contain any type of passwords.
  • Uploaded documents must be true & genuine to the best of your knowledge. In the case of misleading documents, the Visa may get rejected.
  • Australia student Visa rejection may create a problem for applying Australia Transit Visa as well as any other Visa.
  • It is advisable to take proper guidance from the travel agent to avoid delays or rejection.
  • Make sure to have a valid Visa of the actual country where you are traveling before applying for Australia Transit Visa.
