Indians traveling to China need to hold a valid visa according to their purpose of travel. Documents play a very important role in the approval or rejection of the visa. China visa will be a stamped visa so you need to submit the documents at the VAC according to the jurisdiction.

 

China Visa For Indians is an offline process. People visiting China for tourism purposes & business purposes have a separate set of documents. In case of insufficient, false or misleading documents may lead to the rejection of the visa.

These are the basic documents for the tourist visa though it may differ according to the application. When you submit these documents it becomes necessary to submit the documents which are true & genuine.

 

Reasons for Rejection of China Tourist Visa

 

  • Passport not having the validity of 6 months when you enter China.
  • Photographs not as per the specifications mentioned by the consulate.

  • Long Stay – China is moreover preferred as a business destination so stay of more than 10-15 days doesn’t fall under the tourist category. Only if you hold a valid invitation from your family & friend than that will be considered as a valid reason for more stay.
  • Wrong Jurisdiction
  • Address proof not validating your stay in the current location.

All the above-mentioned documents for a tourist visa must be submitted according to the checklist. Anyone of the above-mentioned documents if found irrelevant or in the wrong manner may lead to the rejection of the visa.

CHINA BUSINESS  VISA  MANDATORY DOCUMENTS

  • Cover letter on company letterhead with seal & sign
  • Indian Company Registration documents
  • Address Proof (if applicable)
  • Invitation letter on company letterhead with seal & sign
  • Valid Trade License
  • ID card copy of Chinese National who has signed the invitation letter.

 

Reasons for Rejection of China Business Visa

 

  • Passport not having the validity of 6 months when you enter China.
  • Photographs not as per the specifications mentioned by the consulate.
  • Incomplete/Misleading Visa form
  • Inappropriate Addressing to the Consulate
  • Inappropriate Cover letter with wrong passport details, purpose not mentioned and not in co-ordination with an invitation letter, no seal or sign on the letter, the designation of the signatory not mentioned, and not on the company letterhead.
  • Inappropriate Invitation letter with wrong passport details, purpose not in co-ordination with a cover letter from India, no seal or sign on the invitation letter, the designation of the signatory not mentioned, and not on the company letterhead.
  • Trade License not valid
  • ID card copy of Chinese National not valid.
  • Wrong Jurisdiction
  • Stay for more than 30 days.

Any one of the listed documents if found unsuitable or inapplicable may lead to rejection. Any Indian National visiting China is allowed to stay for a maximum of 30 days on a valid visa.

 

Points to Remember

 

  • China visa applications are accepted at 3 VAC centers in India. Mumbai, New Delhi & Kolkata has the VAC center for China.
  • China consulate accepts address proof such as rental agreement, bank statement with current address or a letter from the employer mentioning the current address on the company letterhead with seal & sign.
  • China Consulate offers Express service at Mumbai location for tourist applications whereas Delhi doesn’t accept tourist applications for express service.
  • Tourist visa applicants applying through New Delhi Jurisdiction needs to provide Bank Certificate with seal & sign on the letterhead of the bank. They do not accept Bank Statements.
  • China VAC center does not provide courier service at any of its locations.
  • China VAC accepts handwritten forms, but cover letters must be typed in detail.
  • Basic details are required to fill the China Visa form which includes your passport details, employer’s details, family members detail & one emergency contact in India, Type of Visit, Travel History in the last 1 year, and Hotel Accommodation details or Inviter’s details if business purpose.
  • Day Wise Itinerary must be on a separate Paper and typed covering all the days in China and your name & Passport Number mentioned in the itinerary.

CHINA VISA REJECTION – FAQ's

Can I stay for more than 30 days in China with a valid visa?
No, You cannot stay for more than 30 days in China whether you hold single or multiple entry visas. As the maximum stay in China is for 30 days.
Is the courier service in Mumbai free for applicants?
The correct addressing would be: To, The Consulate General of the People’s Republic of China, Mumbai.
Are Air Tickets & Hotel Bookings mandatory for applying for China Tourist & Business visa?
Travel Itinerary & Hotel Accommodation is mandatory for applying for a Tourist Visa whereas Travel Itinerary & Hotel Accommodation is not required for applying for a business visa.
Can I reapply again if my China Visa gets rejected?
Yes, you can reapply again if your China visa gets rejected provided you can justify the purpose of your travel.
