Malaysia Sticker Visa

 

Traveling to Malaysia requires a valid Malaysia visa for Indians. From 2016 onwards, the Malaysia visa process has completely gone online for the tourist or the Indians visiting their family & friends in Malaysia or for short term business travelers.

 

Earlier there was only the option of offline visa which required all the tourist or business purpose applicants to visit the center and get the visa done which was quite a hectic process in this fast-moving world so Malaysia also came up with an easier process of online visa.

 

Some people require Malaysia Sticker for those who wants to visit frequently, belonging to a particular set of business travelers who cannot apply online. Students, expatriates, dependent applicants, or social visits too need to go through the offline process.

Sticker visa is divided into 2 parts

 

  1. Without Reference – VTR – This visa is applied by the applicants who visit Malaysia for tourism, meeting family & friends, Journalist, Business purpose, and attending Seminars and following is the document checklist

 

Documents required for Sticker Visa Without Reference

 

Mandatory Documents

 

  • Original Passport which must be valid for 6 months on arrival in Malaysia.
  • Visa Form (Handwritten) 
  • 2 Photograph with white background, face and ears clearly visible, 70% face to be seen, and the dimension of 33mm x 45mm.
  • Air Tickets (Travel period within 30 days)
  • 1-month bank statement attested by the bank and minimum balance should be INR – 30,000/-
  • 2 copies of Passport

 

Business Purpose Travelers

 

  • Original Cover letter on letterhead from employer
  • Invitation letter from Malaysia on letterhead

 

With Reference – VDR – This visa is for the Expatriate, Dependent applicant, Social Visit, Student Pass, Professional Visit

 

Documents required for Sticker Visa With Reference

 

Mandatory Documents

 

  • Original Passport which must be valid for 6 months on arrival in Malaysia.
  • Visa Form (Handwritten)
  • 2 Photograph with white background, face and ears visible, 70% face to be seen, and the dimension of 33mm x 45mm.
  • VDR Approval Letter in original

 

Points to Remember

 

  • Sticker visa will be a stamped visa on the passport
  • You can apply for Sticker Visa 90 days of your travel or at least 15 days in advance before travel date
  • Sticker Visa has no restrictions on Air/land & entry/ exit points.
  • You can enter only multiple times into Malaysia through this visa.
  • Stay should not exceed 30 days with this visa.
  • Applications are accepted at Mumbai, Hyderabad, Bangalore, Kolkata, Chandigarh, Pune, and Ahmedabad.

How to Apply For Malaysia Sticker Visa From India?

 

  • Malaysia Sticker Visa is the visa stamped on the Passport.
  • Malaysia sticker visa is processed through the VFS by submitting the documents in original at the VFS center
  • Multiple Sticker Visa will be a multiple entry visa.
  • It can be submitted by the visa agent as there is no biometrics required to get the visa processed.
  • Multiple Sticker Visa will be a single entry visa or depending on the application made and validity required.
  • The final decision lies with the consulate on validity, approval, or rejection of the visa.

 

Eligibility for applying Malaysia Sticker Visa 

 

  • You need to have a passport valid for 6 months on arrival in Malaysia
  • You need to prove your purpose of the visit through documents
  • Need to hold sufficient funds during your stay in Malaysia

Jurisdiction for applying for Sticker Visa

 

  • While applying for the visa you need to count on the jurisdiction. If your jurisdiction is different you need to attach additional documents proving your current residence.
  • Documents required for other jurisdiction are as follows:
  • Aadhar Card
  • Society letter in original
  • Marriage certificate
  • Company letter on letterhead mentioning the current address
  • Bonafide Certificate for students
  • Rent Agreement
  • Bank Statement (only for applicants applying in South India)
  • Applications accepted in Mumbai are from Maharashtra, Goa, Gujarat, and Madhya Pradesh.
  • Applications accepted in Hyderabad and Bangalore are from Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Kerela, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Pondicherry, Andaman

 

Procedure for applying for Malaysia Sticker Visa

 

  • This is an offline process by submitting the documents at the VFS Center.
  • Biometrics are not required to process this visa. It can be submitted by the travel agent.
  • All the documents must be submitted in original/ copy at the center
  • You need to make the payment through cash at the VFS center.
  • Processing time is of 5-6 working days

Do I need to have confirmed Air tickets & hotel bookings while applying for this visa?

Passport Collection

Once the visa is processed you can either opt for courier service or you can collect in person or if your travel agent has applied then they can collect on behalf of you.

 

Documents required for collecting Passport will be :

 

  • If self-collection – Original Government ID proof and Xerox, Original VFS Receipt.
  • If the representative collects – Xerox of government ID of the applicant, Original & Xerox copy of the government ID of the representative, VFS original receipt, and an authority letter from the applicant.
  • If collected by the travel agent – Xerox of government ID of the applicant, Original & Xerox copy of the government ID of the travel agent who will be collecting the Passport, VFS original receipt, and an authority letter from the applicant and the travel agent giving the authority to its employee to collect the Passport.

 

Reasons for Malaysia Sticker Visa Rejection
