Singapore Visa is an official document issued by the Government of Singaporean for Indian Nationals.

Singapore Visa process is an offline process where the documents are submitted for processing the visa but the visa received will be an E-Visa.

It is processed only 30 days before your intended date of travel. You are required to submit all the documents on Paper. Singapore doesn’t entertain any of the applicants at the consulate.

The entire Visa process takes place with the help of the travel agent. Authorized Agent plays the role of the mediator between the applicant & the consulate.

Singapore Visa Process takes place from 3 centers wherein the consulate is located. Mumbai, New Delhi, and Chennai All the States & Union Territories in India need to follow the jurisdiction while processing Singapore Visa.

Jurisdiction is divided as follows:

Mumbai accepts applications from Maharashtra, Goa, Gujarat, Chattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, Jharkhand, and Odisha.

Chennai accepts applications from Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Kerela, Karnataka, Telangana

New Delhi accepts applications from Punjab, Haryana, Jammu & Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh,  Rajasthan, Chandigarh, Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Bihar, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim, Tripura, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, and West Bengal.

 

Singapore Tourist Visa

All the Indian Travelers visiting Singapore for tourism purposes or meeting family & friends need to apply for Singapore Tourist Visa. The validity of the visa can be anything between 5 weeks to 2 years Multiple Entry and maximum stay period on each visit can be of 30 days.

You need to apply for a visa based on your jurisdiction. If your jurisdiction is different from your current residence, you need to provide an additional document of residence proof stating your current residence.

In Singapore students who want to complete higher studies need to apply student visa which is known as student pass in Singapore. All the students pursuing higher studies in Singapore for more than 30 days need to apply for Student Pass.

 

Applicants need to submit documents to the Student’s Pass Online Application and Registration system. Applications are directly processed by Singapore ICA. Applications are processed within 15 -30 days. The students above the age of 20 may need to appear for an interview and the entire processing time would be of 4 months.

 

All the student pass holders are allowed to work part-time in Singapore while studying and they don’t require to apply for employment pass if they work only 16 hours per week. After completion of the studies, they can apply for Visit Pass if they intend to work in Singapore.

 

This Pass will be valid for a year in the meantime if you are successful in getting an employment contract then you need to apply for Employment Pass. Singapore is very strict about the Pass. You need to surrender the student pass within a week after completion of the course and leave Singapore before the expiry date.

Points to Remember

  • Do not apply for Singapore Visa 30 days before your intended travel date.
  • Singapore Visa will be an e-visa.
  • Visa Form 14A must be signed by the parents for the minor children.
  • It is not mandatory to get the bank statement attested. Online bank statement print can work for applying for the visa.
  • Bank Statement of the minors is not acceptable.
  • Aadhar Card or Election card is not considered as valid address proof.
  • Photographs submitted must not be older than 6 months.
  • Always apply for a visa as per the jurisdiction or provide the address proof if jurisdiction is different
  • With a valid Singapore Visa, you can get the Philippines Visa on arrival for a stay of 15 days.
  • Approved Singapore Visas are normally Multiple Entry except for certain exceptions.
  • People can travel by land to Malaysia or vice versa while holding a valid visa for both countries.
  • US Passport holders get Singapore Visa on arrival but no US visa holders in India. They need to apply for a Singapore Visa.
  • You need to exit Singapore within 30 days despite having multiple entries of 5 weeks to 2 years visa validity
  • Parents NOC is a must for all minor children traveling with other family members & not parents.
  • If a minor child with a single parent is traveling to Singapore with one parent, then either the other parent’s NOC and Passport Copy is required or separation papers.
  • Singapore doesn’t have a transit visa facility.
