Later, visit the Mawphlang Sacred Grove, one of the largest and most well-preserved sacred groves in Meghalaya. This ancient forest is protected by the local community and revered by local deities, and nothing is permitted to be taken out of the grove. Continue to the Khasi Model Village to experience traditional Khasi culture. In the evening, return to Shillong for an overnight stay.

Early in the morning, embark on an elephant safari inside Kaziranga National Park for an unforgettable wildlife experience. In addition to the endangered one-horned Indian rhinoceros, the park is home to nearly half of the world’s population of genetically pure wild water buffaloes, over 1,000 wild elephants, and possibly the highest density of Royal Bengal tigers anywhere in the world. Kaziranga is also a paradise for birdwatchers, hosting around 500 species of birds, including the Crested Serpent Eagle, Pallas’s Fishing Eagle, Grey-headed Fishing Eagle, Swamp Partridge, Bar-headed Goose, Whistling Teal, Bengal Florican, along with various storks, herons, and pelicans. After the safari, return to the resort for breakfast. In the afternoon, proceed for an exciting jeep safari within the park. In the evening, return to the hotel for a relaxing overnight stay at Kaziranga National Park.

Continue your scenic drive, keeping your cameras ready as you pass through stunning waterfalls and enjoy breathtaking mountain views. En route, also visit the revered Nag Mandir. On arrival in Dirang, check in to your hotel. After lunch, proceed for local sightseeing, including the regional apple nursery, kiwi farm, hot water springs, the picturesque Sangti Valley, and the historic Dzong Fort. Please Note: Visits to these locations require hiring a local taxi in Tawang on a direct payment basis, as outside vehicles are not permitted. In the evening, return to the hotel for an overnight stay in Tawang.
