Coronavirus.

Coronavirus is also known as COVID-19. It is a disease that started spreading across the world, but the epicenter from where the disease started spreading is in Wuhan, China in December 2019. Later it is stated as Pandemic Disease by the WHO on 11th March 2020. To date, more than 472,000 cases of COVID-19 have been reported around the world. The recovery cases are 114,000. For the safety of traveler, the UAE Government has suspended all existing Dubai Visa and has stopped issuing the same till further notice.

The report says the first person who was diagnosed with COVID-19 was in the month of December in Wuhan, Hubei, China. Within a month the cases in Wuhan have increased to hundreds, rapidly increasing in January 2020. After a couple of the hundreds of cases, the authorities of Wuhan reported to the capital of Hubei province to investigate the matter, later on, the investigation leads them to the conclusion that this disease is mostly related to Huanan Seafood Wholesale Market. This is still not confirmed. As a precautionary measure, the Government of India has stopped all the passenger travelers to China from mid-February. Though they had a valid China Visa for Indians,  still they were stopped as Government were aware of the rapid spread of COVID-19 in China.

By the early and mid-January this disease spread across the other province of China, and then quickly spread in the whole country of China. On 20th January China reported 140 new cases in one day in which two people were from Beijing and Shenzhen.

On 10th January WHO issued a travel advisory asking travelers “Be prudent to reduce the general risk of acute respiratory infection while traveling in or from the affected areas.”  On January 30, WHO declared the outbreak to be Public Health International Concern. Later on 24th February the director of WHO warned that the virus can become a global pandemic because the cases increase in China. On 13th March, WHO declared Europe to be the new center of the pandemic after the new arises in Europe after China.

How Does it Spread?

COVID-19 can pass from person to person through the droplets from coughing and sneezing, that why WHO stated to cover your hands while sneezing or coughing and maintaining distance from the people who are doing the same. Even breathing close to the people can let that virus go to your respiratory.

Shaking hands with others can also lead to coronavirus because both of you might not know what that person is going through. Not just shaking hands but our hand touches many surfaces and it can pick up viruses even when you touch your eyes, nose, and mouth that contaminated viruses can enter your body and can make you sick. So washing hands with soap, water or alcohol-based hand sanitizer will kill the virus.

A laboratory test is mandatory because it is difficult with the physical exams. It may feel similar to the flu or a bad cold.

As the world is facing this pandemic disease almost every country cut ties with one another to prevent many more cases. India has stopped all the visa and immigration processes. While Dubai and USA freeze visa processes. US Embassy freezes all the immigrants and non-immigrants visas on 17th March.

The embassy has ordered that the applicant should reschedule visa interviews once the regulation starts. This cancellation of visas has a very tremendous impact on the applicants as well as people who are stuck in the country.

UAE as well suspended visas in few days after WHO declared COVID-19 as a pandemic. All the visas that are issued before the 17th March are valid and others have been suspended. UAE has not mentioned when will suspension be in effect. According to FAIC (Federal Authority for Identity And Citizenship) “Decision will be valid until a mechanism for a medical examination has been established in the countries to departure as part of global measures taken for the common good of all the nation.”

While on the other hand, China has not suspended any visas but at an Indian airport, the immigration people are not letting anyone leave the country nor letting them into the country.
