About:

 

San Pedro, Sula, Honduras is the capital of Cortes Department, Honduras.  It is located in the northwest corner of the country in the Sula Valley. Until early 2016, San Pedro Sula was nicknamed the “murder capital of the world” due to its status as a major operational distribution point in the illegal drug trade and organized crime.

 

Tourist Attractions:-

 

In 2017, the Traveler’s Choice Trip Advisor award for the best beach in Central America and one of the 25 best beaches in the world went to the West Bay Beach in Roatán. At the Bay Island, tourists and visitors snorkel, scuba dive and swim exotic marine creatures as mantas and sea turtles.

 

Honduras is not just a beach and diving destination, it’s also a haven for nature and adventure, playing host to the country’s 91 protected areas and national parks. Below are some awesome tourist destinations; The Pico Bonito and Celaque National Parks; Visitors can see some of the more than 750 different species of birds found in Honduras. The Spanish colonial cities of Gracias and Comayagua; Carefully preserved churches and other historic buildings are located in these regions. The Garifuna community; these are the descendants of African slaves who have preserved their traditions and customs through the ages.
