Schengen Visa Consultant In Mumbai

Fly For Holidays is an IATA-accredited travel and visa agency in Kandivali West, Mumbai, that handles Schengen visa applications end to end — choosing the correct consulate, securing a VFS appointment, preparing your file, and briefing you before biometrics.

We have processed 30,489+ visa applications since 2016. The Schengen decision always rests with the consulate; our job is to make sure nothing in your file gives them a reason to refuse.

Reason hiring Visa Agent For Schengen Visa?

Most people looking for a Schengen visa agent in Mumbai have already read the rules. They know they need a passport, bank statements and insurance. What sends them looking for help is everything the checklists leave out — which consulate is theirs, why there are no appointments, and whether a six-month bank statement with one large deposit is going to be a problem.

That is the work. Below is how we do it, and what we will and won’t promise you.

A Schengen visa is issued by one specific country’s consulate, and applying to the wrong one gets your application rejected before anyone reads it.  This is the single most common avoidable error we see, and it happens before a single document is collected.

The main destination rule

Under the EU Visa Code, you apply to the country where you will spend the longest time. If your stay is split equally between two or more countries, you apply to the country you will enter first.

So a Mumbai traveller flying into Paris, spending two nights there and six in Rome, applies to Italy — not France, despite Paris being the first stop. Getting that backwards means a rejected application, a lost fee, and a lost appointment slot you may not be able to replace in time.

Why this is harder from Mumbai than it looks

Not every Schengen country has its own consulate in Mumbai. Some are represented by another member state, and some route applications through a specific VFS Global centre with its own jurisdiction rules covering Maharashtra and neighbouring states. Those arrangements change.

Before we collect a single document, we confirm which consulate has jurisdiction over your itinerary and your residence, and which centre you will actually be submitting at. It takes us one conversation. It is also the step that most self-filed applications skip.

Let Our Schengen Visa Agent Call You

For most Schengen applications from Mumbai, the binding constraint is not processing time — it is how soon you can get an appointment. During peak season, slots at Mumbai centres for popular consulates can be booked out weeks ahead. The consulate may well decide your application inside the standard period, but that clock only starts once you have physically submitted.

The practical consequence: your planning date is the appointment date, not the travel date. We tell clients to start as early as their travel dates allow, and we monitor slot releases rather than checking once and hoping.

If you are travelling in the European summer and you are reading this in spring, the appointment is the thing to solve this week.

We run the application as a file we are accountable for, not as a form-filling service. Here is the sequence.

    What we do

    1. Confirm the correct consulate and submission centre for your itinerary.
    2. Secure the appointment slot — and re-check for earlier releases if your dates are tight.
    3. Build the document file, including the cover letter and itinerary, and check it against that consulate’s current requirements.
    4. Review your financial documents for the problems consulates actually react to, and tell you honestly if something needs fixing before we file.
    5. Brief you on what happens at the VFS centre, including biometrics, so nothing on the day is a surprise.
    6. Track the application and keep you updated through to passport collection.

What we need from you Your passport, your travel dates and rough itinerary, and honest answers about your employment, finances and any previous visa refusals. That last one matters more than people expect — an undisclosed earlier refusal is far more damaging when a consulate discovers it than when we plan around it.

For the full document list and current fees, see our Schengen visa guide for Indian travellers, which we keep updated with the current government fee and VFS charges.

Most refusals we see come down to the consulate not being convinced of one of three things: that you can fund the trip, that your plan is coherent, or that you will come back. The formal grounds are listed in the Visa Code, but in practice the recurring patterns are:

    • Funds that don’t match the itinerary. A ten-day trip across three countries against a balance that won’t cover it.
    • Unexplained deposits. A large sum landing in the account days before applying, with nothing to show where it came from.
    • A thin or contradictory itinerary. Hotel bookings that don’t match the flights, or a route that doesn’t match the consulate you applied to.
    • Weak ties to India. No employment letter, no leave approval, nothing anchoring you here.
    • Insurance that doesn’t meet the requirement. Schengen requires travel medical insurance valid across the Schengen Area with a minimum coverage level — a generic policy often falls short.
    • An undisclosed previous refusal.

We go through each of these before filing. Where something is genuinely weak, we will tell you, and we will say plainly if we think you should strengthen the file before applying rather than spend the fee now.

One thing we will not tell you: that your visa is guaranteed. Schengen visas are granted at the discretion of the consulate, and any agent in Mumbai who promises you approval is telling you something they cannot deliver.

Why work with Fly For Holidays?

    • IATA-accredited agent, No. 14025465 — an accreditation that requires financial and operational vetting, which most visa shops do not hold.
    • Operating since 11 May 2016 as a registered private limited company, not an intermediary.
    • 30,489+ visa applications processed and 20,622+ travellers served.
    • A travel agency, not only a visa desk. Flights, hotels and itineraries are part of what we do, which matters for Schengen specifically, because the consulate is assessing your travel plan as a whole.
    • Refusal and reapplication cases handled. If you have been refused before, that is a case we will take on with the earlier refusal accounted for rather than ignored.

      Frequently Asked Questions

Which country's Schengen visa should I apply for?
The country where you will spend the most nights. If two or more countries get equal time, apply to the one you enter first. We confirm this against your itinerary before starting your file.

How early should I start my Schengen application from Mumbai?
Start as early as your travel dates allow. The appointment slot, not the processing time, is usually what determines whether you make your trip — and slots for popular consulates fill up well ahead in peak season.

Can a Schengen visa agent guarantee my visa will be approved?
No. The decision belongs to the consulate. Any agent promising guaranteed Schengen approval is making a promise they have no authority to keep. What an agent can do is make sure your file gives the consulate no avoidable reason to refuse.should be longer than 6 months for a permit.

Do I still have to go in person for biometrics?
Yes — fingerprints and a photograph are taken at the visa application centre. We book the appointment and brief you on exactly what to bring and what happens on the day.

Can you help if my Schengen visa was refused before?
A previous refusal has to be disclosed and addressed directly — we review the refusal grounds, work out what actually failed, and rebuild the application around it rather than resubmitting the same file.

What does a Schengen visa cost from Mumbai?
The total is the consulate's visa fee, the VFS service charge, and our service charge. Current figures are on our Schengen visa fees and documents page, which we keep updated — government fees are set by the consulate and change from time to time.
