Do Indians require a visa to travel to Russia?
Yes, Indians visiting Russia for any purposes needs to hold a valid visa to travel to Russia.
What is the validity & stay period for Russia visa?
Russia visa is valid for 30 days/ or as per embassy single entry wherein the stay period is of a maximum of 30 days.
Do I need to visit the Embassy/Consulate for submitting my application?
No, a travel agent can apply on behalf of the applicant. We at fly for holidays collect all the documents from the applicant, fill up the online form, prepare the cover letter, advise on the documents to submit. We also submit and collect the Passport from the embassy so the applicant is not required to visit anywhere to get the visa process.
Is Russian visa stamped on the passport or it is an e-visa?
Russian visa is stamped on the passport and hence the applicant needs to submit the documents & passport in original.
Does the applicant need to have the return ticket while applying for the visa?
Yes, a return ticket is mandatory for applying the visa to prove that you will exit the country before the visa expires.
What is the earliest I can apply for the Russian tourist visa?
You can apply 90 days before the scheduled travel date.
My Passport is expiring in a few months can I apply for a Russian visa?
No, You need to have the passport valid for 6 months from the scheduled exit date from Russia.
Can I submit the hotel confirmation booked from any local travel agent in English?
No, the hotel confirmation must be received from Russia in their local language with name & passport number.
Do the Russian embassy offer express/priority visa services?
Yes, the Russian embassy does offer express service by paying the extra charges above the actual fees and it is processed in 5 – 6 working days.
What are the validity and the stay period for business visa travelers?
Russia’s business visa is valid for 90 days/or as per the embassy with a single entry wherein the stay period is of a maximum of 90 days.

Documents to Carry while Traveling to Russia

 

  • Carry Original Valid Passport;
  • Make sure to carry valid Russia Visa Copy;
  • Confirmed return Flight Ticket is must;
  • Confirmed hotel bookings or stay proof;
  • Russian Currency in cash or Foreign Exchange Receipt;
  • Android Phone, preferably with a Russian SIM card from India;
  • Any additional documents like valid visa if traveling to the third country.

 

Basic information to keep in mind while visiting Russia

 

  • Should Have a valid Passport and valid Russia Visa;
  • Make sure you are well fit;
  • Can communicate properly;
  • Should be able to understand What Immigration Officer is asking and has to make sure to reply quickly with confidence.
  • You should be able to convince the officer that you have sufficient funds and you will exit the country before your visa expires.
