Procedure for the UK Business Visa

• Before starting with the process for a business visa in your home country you need to have a proper invitation and supporting documents from the UK proving the genuine intention of your visit.

• UK Business Visa falls under the Standard Visitor Visa category wherein you need to fill an online form on the UK Government website. This form will require you to fill in certain details which include personal, employment, education, finance, inviting company details, and travel history to name a few.

• For starting the form you need to be ready with all the above-mentioned details and login with the help of mail id and password on the UK govt website to fill up the form. You can save the form any moment and continue later at your convenience. Once the form is completed the next step will be the submission of the form. On submission of the form, you need to pay the online fees of UK Immigration and VFS fees with the help of Debit/Credit Card.

• After submission and payment of fees, a unique GWF number will be generated which will be used for further reference by the Immigration office and for you to track the status of the application. Next will be to generate an appointment after the payment and submission of the online form.

• Once this entire procedure is done you can log in to your account and download the form and checklist. On the day of the appointment, you need to carry all the documents as per the checklist and advised by the travel agent. On visiting the center you need to submit all the documents with the original passport and will be scanned and uploaded by the officer at VFS. After the submission of documents, you will be guided for biometrics. On completion of the entire procedure, you need to wait for around 13-15 days to get the visa done. You will be intimidated through the registered mail id for the collection of the passport from the VFS center wherein it was originally submitted or you can opt for a courier by paying extra charges.

How to Check the Visa Status Online?

• On submission of your application at the VFS Center, you need to wait for around 13-15 days.
• On receiving the mail from the Immigration Department on your passport is ready for collection you need to visit the center personally to collect the passport with the VFS receipt and your Original and Xerox of government ID proof.
• If you do not wish to visit the center you can opt for the courier services by paying the charges at VFS center while submission of documents. On an approved visa, you can stay for a maximum period of 6 months or as per the conditions mentioned on the visa.

• All the details filled in the online form must be true and correct.
• Documents submitted for processing an application must be genuine. Fake, Altered, Misleading or Invalid Documents may lead to refusal of the visa.
• Mistakes in the online form may cause a delay in the processing of the application, to avoid such delay take proper guidance and advise before submission of the application.
• Rejection of the visa may cause a problem in the future for applying the UK Visa as well as any other visa. Hence, it becomes necessary to provide the right details to the best of your knowledge.
